I will soon be riding in the Quebec region and only have a short time to tour along the St. Lawrence. I have maps and such and am hoping that folks that have been there or live in the region can suggest the shortest, safest -- overall best route. Thanks so much! By the way, thanks to all of you who offered help with my stove query.

Best route from St. Jean sur Richelieu to Levis, Quebec, Canada
The is the "route verte" ,a bike bath system, but it would not be the way to enjoy the country side as it is often in a "corridor" where you do not see all around. The are a few place, in between you starting and finishing plan, interesting to take time in: all around Magog and lac memphremagogearea, there the "route verte" is kind of interesting but you need wide tire; parc du Mont Megantique is nice but you would have to go far south, not the shortess road. I have followed road 218 between Manseau and St lambert de lauzon up to st gilees it is really beautiful and quiet I met only one car and it was on a weekend day.
The overall shortest option is to follow the St Lawrence. One thing to remind is the wind ... sometime it is really strong ... more than sometime ... it could be a real nightmare. If there is a strong wind from east the best option is the "route verte" up to Sherbrooke after I do not know.
Thank you for your kind advice and suggestions. I also find that bike paths are often not the best way to see the countryside. I am looking forward to my ride and will look at the places you suggest. Happy riding!
