Hello,
I am currently in India about to cross to Nepal. I will be around for a few months, but I have to start thinking how I am gonna get out of this part of the world to continue overland. I am going to try to apply for a Pakistan visa. I have two passports so sending the one I am not currently using would be an option. Anyone has done that recently? Anyone applied to obtain a Pakistan visa with a Swiss passport? Is it better to apply through an agency? There is not much info online. Thanks for your advice and help, Cheers, Rocio

Pakistan visa
Hello,
As French citizen, Delhi doesn't give anymore visa and in Kathmandu the best you get apparently is a transit visa.
The best is to send one of your passport in country. For French citizen, we need a letter of invitation from Pakistan tourist agency, it can cost up to 100 USD. This was few months ago.
If not you can to Myanmar crossing the border at moreh basar in North east India.
If you take flight, I did ktm to Bangkok by Nepal airlines for 190 USD and they don't charge me for my extra 8 kg!! Nice company!
Enjoy!
Bertrand,
merci pour ton commentaire.
Actually, I come from Myanmar and NE India and not the other way around. I am heading towards Europe, so Pakistan is my only option to be able to continue overland. And besides, I do want to cycle in Pakistan.
It seems that there are different requirements for every nationality, so I need to find out what documents are required as a Swiss or as a Spanish national.
Yes, according to the last updates, KTM only gives transit visas, which is ok, because you can renew it in Islamabad for free and you can get a 60 day extension. The problem is that they give you a very short time limit to enter the country after the visa is issued.
We ll see how things come out.
Cheers,
Rocio

The answer is pretty simple. Just in your home country you get a pakistanian visa. So you have to send your passport to Switzerland.
Requirements can change but think so your chances are good. Safety is not a Problem anymore.
LOI is my only problem. I don’t know anyone in Pakistan. Any advice how to fix it?
Sorry I was on the road, may be too late but you can contact Sayed Hunzai, he has an agency. he's very active on facebook or by email [email protected].
Without booking a tour, the loi was 100US$.
Good luck!
