Dear fellow cyclist. In August 22 will be cycling from Delhi to Leh and hoping to continue from Leh to Srinagar.
I am aware the road between Leh and Srinagar skirts the cease fire line between India and Pakistan. My question is. Any riders out there who have covered this area and how safe is this route. Thanks Clive

We cycled that route in 2016. Some areas were tense, but we experienced no problems. Things change fast and often though. I would also recommend the Spiti Valley route. You can see our journal here: Racpat RTW 2015-2017 - CycleBlaze
