Hey guys,
In September, I'm going to head south from Munich to Croatia. People recommended that I cross Austria-Slovenia instead of my original plan of going through Venice as it's more scenic. I usually try to choose the obvious route to reduce the risks of getting lost (which still happens a lot :D!).. which is ok as it's part of the experience but I really don't wanna end up in another country (.. outside the schengen area ^^ ! :D)
there seem to be so many different routes for crossing Austria and Slovenia and I can't decide what's best! has anyone done this before? also, can you recommend any books or maps to buy?
any tips are welcome :)
you can just follow alpe adria cycle path from salzburg to grado and than continue along sea. slovenia as croatia are in shengen zone.
Actually Croatia is not in Schengen eventhoe she is an EU member - not sure does it matter for you or not, but it is like that.
Salute.
