The Income Statement is attached below for your reference. The Balance Sheet consists only of assets; our assets at the end of 2013 were the balance of our bank account $2,719.62 minus an $875.00 outstanding check, resulting in net assets of $1,844.12 ($2,719.62 - $875.50) as of December 31, 2013.
In general, our 2013 donations were significantly greater than 2012, without a significant increase in expenses; and to date 2014 is ahead of 2013.
Yearend balance: As of December 31, 2013, our bank account balance was $2,719.62 and Paypal balance was $0.00, for a total of $2,719.62.
Current balance: As of January 10, 2014, we have a bank account balance of $4,998.00 and Paypal balance of $853.23, for a total balance of $5,851.23. There are no checks or expenditures outstanding. This will be enough to fund our operations this year unless we do something different from past years.
Donations: We received 181 donations in 2013 for a total of $5,435.00, compared to 122 donations in 2012 for a total of $3,666.00. That is a year-on-year increase of 48% in both dollars donated and number of donors. Average per donation was $30/donation in both 2012 and 2013.
Our January 2014 receipts, which traditionally account for most of the year's income, are also up over the previous year. For Jan 1 to 10, 2014, we have received 124 donations, totaling $3,927.00, as compared to 70 donations, totaling $2,431.00, for Jan 1 to 10, 2013.
We are committed to remaining noncommercial and staying a limited-annoyance organization, which means that we hope to always keep our expenses low and do effective fundraising when we do it.
