Advanced filters - how to apply them to a search?

Hello,
I'm new to site and can't seem to get the advanced filters to apply to my searches. I would like to filter by 4 guests, but when I include that filter on any search it returns hosts with fewer than 4 guests listed.
How do apply the selected filters?
