Hi bikers/hola ciclistas!
This August I plan to bike the Camino del Norte (the route along the north coast of Spain connecting Santiago de Compostela- Santander - Bilbao - Irun) . Everybody does it east > west, ending at Santiago but I will do it going eastwards because I want continue into France in late August/early September.
Any advice or tips on this route and the options for sleeping on the way? Usually I stay with WS hosts, couchsurfing and hostels, but maybe this time I should take a tent because it will be high season?
Also if you want to join me for some part or suggest a slightly different route...Picos de Europa? Pireneos? I haven't finalized my plans, just a one-way ticket to Madrid with my bike, 30 July!
