I'm planning to cycle from UK to Algeria starting 1st September, through France and Spain, and maybe to spend winter in Algeria. Does anyone have experience of cycling in Algeria, arranging accomodation and permissions etc? I would love to share all or part of the journey if there's anyone who would like to put up with a laid back companion and a meandering route.

Hello Paul,
I strongly advise you to visit the FCDO's travel advice and consider an alternative destination. I spent 3 years in Algiers, it is incredibly dangerous to cycle there due to personal security issues and flat out crazy drivers.
