I am moving countries soon, after finishing my PhD and then a first, short job, and thought that there is no better way of transporting the largest thing I own - my bicycle - by riding on it. I will be touring from The Netherlands to Poland.
My request is not exactly for a buddy to ride with, but to share a cabin on an overnight ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam. The price for both will be only 50%, as the cheapest cabin has two beds. My plan is to do the crossing on the 28th of May, but this is not set in stone. The price (per person) for 27th or 28th of May is £55 + ~£4 for the bicycle (€64 + €5). Other days are more expensive (29/05 is €82+€5 30/05 is €83+€5). If we gather more people, there are 4-bed cabins, which would make the trip cheaper, even with 3 people only.
I am 30 and male. Not looking for a person with particular characteristics, just someone OK with sleeping in the same cabin on the boat and making the trip cheaper for both. I will be staying in Amsterdam for a 1/2 (?) days, so we could hang out later, but if you would like to part at the quay this is fine too!
If you have some suggestions where else to ask, please write about them! And send me a message if interested. Hope to hear from someone!
