Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any expereince biking from Victoria to Port Hardy then Prince Rupert, Whitehorse, Dawson and Tuk? I'm curious if people ususally do this starting in Inuvik and ride south or start south and ride north. I'm asking because I'm riding alone and wonder what my chances are of running into people to ride with along the way. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Biking from north to south should provide tailwinds and Canadians are very friendly.
Since I never found anyone to ride with, I'm starting from South to North. That way I can slowly get braver!
Hi, I’ve only just seen this. I’m in Inuvik now, and will be heading up to Tuk in the next few days to begin the ride south. Give me a shout if you want to do some riding!
Oh man, too bad we didn't connect earlier. I really wanted to start from Inuvik/Tuk and ride south but didn't want to start alone. So, i'm starting from my home in Seattle and riding north and will then fly back from Inuvik. Tell me how the ride from Inuvik to Tuk was. Maybe we can meet up in the middle over coffee to exchange ride stories?!
Depends on time of year....snow! End of August it snowed on me (I was in a vehicle however) on the Dempster Highway. Probably best to fly to Inuvik and then get a ride to Tuk and head south. Northwest. Territories Visitor Centres in Inuvik and Dawson City can give you updates on the road conditions. Good to chat with them when in earthier community.
