Please be aware there is a massive landslide on Highway 101 in southern Oregon between Gold Beach and Brookings. Not sure how long the repairs will take, the landslide is still moving until they can get the blocked stream above the road diverted. Luckily, not many cyclists this time of year, just an FYI.

Thanks Tricia. I've done this ride and people ask me about it all the time. This is not unusual for costal Oregon and they fix pretty quick. It is said that once the earth stops moving, they can make a gravel surface so they can have one lane access. The distance is not too far to walk your bike and everything should be back to normal in few months. It's real bad if there is a bridge knocked out but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Thanks for the heads up!
