Anyone flew with Norwegian from LAX (or Bangkok) recently?

Hi there,

I've flown into LAX with Norwegian before but not out of LAX, and their website states that you need a hard case or box to fly out of LAX with a bike...and that they don't accept "soft" bags or cases.

Never had a problem with a cardboard bike box before so I'd be enclined to just do as usual, but just to check has anyone had any adverse experience flying out of LAX with Norwegian recently?
