Hi
Cycling in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in June/July and have just been advised to get vaccinated against Tick Borne Encephalitis.
Anyone else done a similar trip and felt this to be necessary.Thanks for advice.

I live in Belarus.
We also have porblems with ticks last dozern years.
There are 2 diseases:
a) tick-borne encephalitis. It's possible to get vaccine.
b) Lyme disease. There are no vaccine
all 2 diseases is very serious.
But the percent of infected ticks in small. You can examine tick in hospital after bite and get information about is it infected or not.
If yes you can get antibiotic pills.
To be vaccinated is not so necessary.
