Sweden: bikes in trains?

Hi there, I'd like to visit friends and travel around in northern Sweden and Norway this summer. Due to limited holiday time I was planning to take my bike to Abisko by train. Now I realized that it might not be possible to transport bikes in swedish trains, at least not in the long distance ones. Does anybody know if there might be a chance to get my bike from Germany to Abisko (not using planes...)? Thanks a lot!

If you pack your bike you can

If you pack your bike you can take it on Swebus It will get you as far north as Umeå (https://www.swebus.se/Global/linjekarta/Linjekarta_170524.pdf); https://www.swebus.se/SwebusExpress_com/#

At least in Norway you can

At least in Norway you can take your bike on the train. The northernmost station is Bodø.

Maybe the cyclists in Sweden can do more lobbying for bikes on trains. I was disappointed when I found out that I could not transport my bike from Karlstad to Oslo by either train or bus.

Just for reference. It is

Just for reference. It is possible to take the trains on regional trains (at least it's not forbidden in their regulations on web). The trip migt by a bit more expensive than in long distance train, but you don't need to dismantle the bike. And probably you can't take more than 2 bikes on board. That's how my friends traveled from Gavle to Stockholm (orignal plan was to travel from Umea to Stockholm, but nice Swede gave them ride to Gavle).

You can use https://reseplanerare.resrobot.se/  to help with planning your trip (though it's impossible to limit the search to use only regional trains :-()
