Hey folks!
I'm planning to do a Alpcross from Garmisch-Patenkirchen (GER) to Riva del Garda(I) this august. I've already got this route planned out.
Now, after I have some time left, I would like to cross Italy and go somehow from Italy to Switzerland! I I've found some routes from Locarno over the St.Bernadino pass, but they always end at the Bodensee. I would like to end close to Luzern. I would'nt mid to do a small detour, but if there is some other pass, that brings me closer to Luzern, that would be great!
so my questions:
1) Are there any "safe" bike paths from Riva del Garda to Lugano? or to any path/way further north?
2)wich Pass can you recommend to do? the St. Bernadino? I would prefer not to be at the edge of a very busy road, if you know what I mean :-P
3)any other ideas? I'm quite open minded with spontaneous changements
thx for your help!
Over the Gotthard pass there is an old and a new road. The old road doesn't have many cars. In general for inside Switzerland this map is good for planning: https://map.veloland.ch/ it has cycle routes.
Have fun!
