Rome to Bari/ Brindisi- advice, hosts, companions

Hi
I cycled from Bremen to Rome and will be heading south from here
Any advice on routes south very welcome, the eurovelo 5 is not realised and the via francigena not for cyclists south of Rome!
Hosts would be amazing!
Companions welcome . am slow - 60 k a day
