I'll be visiting Japan in Feb/March 2017, primarily for skiing but I'd also like to do some cycle touring over there. My problem is taking both my skis and my bike on the plane over. What's the market like for second hand touring bikes? Could I buy one easily when I arrive and sell it again before I leave?

I'm very open with the type of bike. Anything I can carry luggage on would probably be suitable. I'm quote tall 187cm so it would need to be a large frame.
I don't want to spend a lot of money on it as I'll only be in Japan for a few weeks. Hopefully, I could sell it again before I leave. I'd be very grateful for any assistance you can provide.
