Hey yall, I'm in Santa Cruz hosting a cyclist heading through big sur and there is that crazy wild fire. Looks like the road and stores are open still. Any one know about the air quality or other concerns? Thanks!

Big Sur fire! Safe to cycle?
I toured the same route in the fall of 2010. There was a bridge that was out; so I traveled the Hy. 101 corridor to Paso Robles. This route travels through mostly farm communities; and you can take the old "2 lane" which paralels the freeway. Hope this helps.
