Bike shop in Finland (Kuusamo --> Helsinki)

Hi,
I am looking for a bike shop, I am in need of exotic items like,

- CO2 cartridges
- Rohloff oil
- A very good wheel builder that could retension and true my rear wheel (I have the skills to do it myself but I am not happy to do it in woods without all the tools and spare spokes).

Greatful for any tips, I have tried some places here in Kuusamo but CO2 pumps was new to them and it didnt seem like they did repairs at all.

I have about 900 km to the ferry so I will survive, its just nice to have stuff.

Bike Service Shop in Helsinki

We are presently in Oulu, but started our Finland segment from Helsinki, after arriveing by boat from Tallinn. We got major drive train work very nicely done at:

Pyrohuolto
Meripuistie 5, Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

I happen to know they have Rohloff oil because the fellow who did our work (Irish fellow, Adrian) lubed our chains with it and gave us a bottle of it.

Good travels,
Margo

Hello Tomas! You should ask

Hello Tomas!

You should ask about Rohloff oil here. That is "official" dealer who surely have oil. I live in Oulu and don't know if our shops have Rohloff oils.

Bike Station
Poppelikatu 1 B 11
39500 Ikaalinen
Finland

CO2 cartridges could be found from marine shops who sells self inflating emergency vests. Biltema is a good dealer as well. However there are no Biltema shops in north. In Kempele (near Oulu) there is one.

If your route goes via Oulu there are several places where you can get you wheels trued or rebuilt. My wheels were built in Special Bike, street Saaristonkatu 31, Oulu. There are more mechanics of course, but this is the one I have used.

Thanks, my choice to follow

Thanks,
my choice to follow road 5 wasn't the best, today I saw this that pretty much sums it up. http://www.visitfinland.com/service/the-silent-people/

Going through Oulo and down the coast would probably been better, I will catch the train i Kajaani and fast forward to the south.

If I do this I will be able to reach home before I need to change the oil, and hopefully I will find a shop with CO2 cartridges.

The most beautiful part of

The most beautiful part of Finland could be south-eastern part.

Especially Savonlinna-Punkaharju-Parikkala is the route I suggest for you. But it's pretty far east...
