Anyone out there attempted this successfully? Or insane enough to have tried?
Side notes:
I'll be solo (unless someone out there wants to join).
Lived in China for 3 years so YES, I know the wind is fierce (usually from the NW) and it gets really really cold.
Carry a blessed work visa so extensions are not an issue (getting stranded).
I speak Mandarin so calling for help isn't a problem - them getting a vehicle out in a blizzard is the problem.
I usually try to live with nomads and locals, or stay at local "luguan"s so hopefully I can find something and not freeze to death in my tent.
Hello Eleanor,
I've no information to offer -aside from having a cousin who's been teaching in Mongolia-,
but from a quick look am impressed,
and would like to keep abreast of how you do.
At some point, I would like to head to my cousin in Ulan Bator;
if you're still there then I should like to connect.
Uda4i tebja !
Deep.
I wasn't able to ride much of Mongolia, as I was ill prepared and in experienced. I think I could handle it now.
Thanks for the little note. :)
