NZ is a long country and weather varies from north to south. What is your intended route?
I'm from Spain. I would like fly to Auckland and travel from the Noth to the south of the country, but I've not just planed the route.
It will be colder the further south you go. Depending on how long it takes you, it may get quite cold by the time you get to the bottom of the South Island. We have had some variable weather over the past few years so I can't advise you on how much rain you may encounter. Just make sure you are well equipped with warm clothing and wet weather gear. The North Island won't be too cold at that time of the year though.
Weather is crazy all over the world...at the end I have booked a fly from 23th February to 4th April, I hope the weather will be better on March, and I going to fly to Christchurch and back to Spain from the same place then I will start my rute to the south of the island and the to the north to back to Christchurch at the end of the trip.

A tour round the South Island sounds like a good idea.Less traffic, more spectacular scenery than the North Island .If you ride around the SI clockwise you will be nearer the sea!Weather wise it will still be warm to hot, but also prepare for rain.We are having a wet spell here in Nelson at the moment.
