Hello Peep Travelers,
Has anyone biked down on Route 1 on Big Sur since the road closure in February 2017? If there is a way to pass the closure/s would create an awesome opportunity to bike the coast between Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara.
Any information is really greatly appreciated!

They are working now to build a small path around the collapsed bridge and a new bridge should be completed in about 6 mos (check with CalTrans for the definitive info) but traveling down that coast in the past the big issue is drinking water. There will be none NONE between Big Sur and Ragged Point.

I did this ride a year ago it was amazing. I did it in January and the weather was great.
