Hello people, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to be able to create an opportunity for people staying in a foreign city eg, Bangkok. To create an event that they are staying there and then everyone in that area would receive an email asking if they would like to host person X. I have had trouble getting in touch with hosts all the way through Thailand and thought this may help. It's similar to what couchsurfing does. :)

Hello Mr James Hailwood,
I understand the process can be frustrating -- you're having a great time on your tour, you're simply looking for a dry spot & a warm shower.
However as a potential host I do not want to be flooded with emails from everyone coming through Oregon (or Portland). I want you to need to send me an email asking if I will put you up. And if I'm out touring, or busy, or forget to check my email regularly, I won't get back to you for several days.
This works for me. And I have experienced sending out emails to Warm Showers folks in the area I'm touring in and not receiving replies for a month. That happens sometimes.
